Terms
Terms of service
The agreement between you and Komra Inc (“Komra”, “we”). Last updated 25 October 2026. Plain language, and short, because a term you did not read is not one you agreed to.
1. What Komra is
Komra is a video editing environment. You bring footage, direct an assistant in plain language or cut by hand, and export the result. It is offered as an online service and is currently in private beta, which means it changes often and may be unavailable.
2. Your account
You need an account, and access is by invitation. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think somebody else is using it. You must be at least 16.
3. Your footage stays yours
You keep every right you already had in what you upload or import. We claim no ownership of your footage, your edits or your exports.
You give us permission to store and process your media only so far as running the service requires — copying it, transcoding it for playback, transcribing speech, generating descriptions and search indexes, and rendering what you export. That permission exists to operate the product and for nothing else, and it ends when you delete the material.
4. What you may upload
Only material you have the right to use. Do not upload anything unlawful, anything that infringes somebody else’s rights, or anything designed to break the service. We may remove content or suspend an account for a clear breach, and we will say why.
5. The assistant
Komra’s assistant edits your timeline on your instruction, using models operated by third parties. Two things follow, and both are properties of the product rather than disclaimers:
- It can be wrong. Automated edits, transcripts and descriptions are not guaranteed to be accurate. Review the result before you publish anything.
- You stay in control. Changes are presented for review before they become part of your project, every version is kept, and you can go back to an earlier one.
6. Services you connect
You may connect accounts such as Google Drive. Doing so is your choice, those services have their own terms, and we only use the access you grant to do the thing you asked for. Disconnecting revokes it.
7. Plans, payment and credits
Komra is paid for by subscription, with usage measured in credits. The plans, their prices and how many credits each includes are shown when you subscribe and in your billing settings.
- What uses credits. Ingesting footage (per minute), the assistant’s work (in proportion to what it actually took to do), and storage (per gigabyte per month). Your usage and remaining balance are shown in the app.
- Renewal. A subscription is billed in advance at the start of each billing period and renews automatically until you cancel. Each period’s included credits are for that period and do not carry over.
- Extra credits. You can buy additional credits at any time. Purchased credits remain available for 12 months from purchase, and are used after your plan’s included credits.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time from your billing settings. You keep access and your remaining credits until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we charged you in error. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us within 30 days and we will put it right.
- Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. Where we are required to collect sales tax or VAT, it is added to your invoice.
- Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to your subscription, and you may cancel before it does.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we will try again and tell you. If it still cannot be collected we may pause paid features until it is, without deleting your projects.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms for the payment itself. We never see or store your card number.
8. Availability
We try to keep Komra running and we do not promise it always will be. During the beta there is no uptime guarantee, and features may change or be withdrawn. We will not delete your projects without telling you.
9. Ending it
You may stop using Komra and ask us to delete your account and its contents at any time. We may end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the service — with notice, and with a chance to export your work.
10. Liability
Komra is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost data beyond what we can restore. None of this limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California — unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
12. Changes
If these terms change materially we will say so here and update the date above. Continuing to use Komra after that means the new terms apply.
